The best kept secret..

Aaron and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Bermuda! Who knew Bermuda was so beautiful?? The water was clearer than Jamaica and the flight was 1:45 direct from Reagan! The people in Bermuda are the nicest people I have ever met, and the island was safe and clean!

Aaron decided to surprise me and book a last minute trip to Bermuda...isn't he the best?? We had a great time on our 5 day vacation! We toured around the island, testing all of the food, enjoying all of the beaches and swimming in all of the waters...and savoring the rum swizzle's!

The water was so clear, we were able to swim out to the little islands, cliffs and even see pretty parrot fish swimming by us. The water was a little chilly but the weather was perfect, mid 80's. They even had 4th of July fireworks!!

What a great vacation, we had such a great time! Aaron thanks for planning it..I love you! I'm sure we will be back to Bermuda soon! Who wants to come?

It's here, It's here!

Finally, our new bedroom furniture has arrived! For those of you who don't know, Aaron and I have been searching the entire Washington metro area for new furniture. We thought that it was finally time to get a new King bed, so we moved the set that we currently have in our bedroom to the guest room. We found some that we liked from Marlo, but had the WORST experience ever with them!

We really liked the set that we found. It was supposed to be delivered on Good Friday, way back in April but when the set came, it was ALL DAMAGED. Then, they tried to deliver it again, and it was damaged AGAIN!! We moved all of the furniture from our bedroom up to the guest room, so all of my clothes from the dresser are on the floor, and we don't have a bed in our room!!!

We spent all day on a Sunday driving around to every store in Northern VA and found nothing! Finally, we found a set at a store in Cumberland, and found out that they had it at Belfort.

Friday, May 22 it was delivered and is beautiful. Pictures will follow as soon as the decorating is finished and the night stands arrive! YAY FURNITURE!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

For those of you that don't know, cinco de mayo is the 4th anniversary of when Aaron and I met! On 5-5-5 Aaron and I set out to celebrate Mexico.. and ended up meeting each other!

Who knew, that 4 years later we would be a happily married couple with a precious cocker spaniel!

Anyone that knows Aaron and I know that we LOVE mexican food and that we also like to enjoy the occasional Margarita and Sangria! It's only fitting that we met on cinco de mayo and were engaged in Mexico.

In honor of ourselves...we are going to the local Mexican restaurant for some yummy tacos and sangria!

Aaron- what a wonderful 4 years, I'm so excited for 50 more! I love you, and let's go get some tacos!

Our first HALLiday!

Happy Easter Everyone!

I just wanted to post a little update on our Easter. We had a great weekend.

First, we were able to finish the guest bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. The guest room was painted and our bedroom furniture was moved upstairs and the bathroom was finally finished! Luckily, the guest bedroom was finished because it's going to be our home away from home for the next week or so...our new bedroom furniture came in DAMAGED!! And we don't have a bed or dressers in our room!

Secondly, we went new car shopping. Aaron finally got the word on Friday that his car was totaled, so we had to get busy and find a new car! He only has the rental until Wednesday!! There are a lot of good deals on cars right now.

Finally, my parents came Saturday for Easter. Sunday morning we went to church at St. Matthews Cathedral downtown, it was packed. After church we came back to our house, relaxed and watched the Master's and my mom and I prepared dinner. We used our beautiful new china that we got for the wedding and had a great meal on a beautiful table! Chris and Shannon came over and brought a yummy "dirt" desert!

All in All, we had a wonderful Easter HAlliday!!

Oops!

It seems as if I tooted my own horn too early! I was so proud of myself for blogging so much in January, then as you may all see, I didn't do any in February!!

Most of you know that we were on vacation in February, then we were in Cumberland for my grandmothers funeral, then I was in Austin for work for a week. All in all, I was only in my house for like 8 days in February!

Now, all of the traveling is over and I will recap all of the events from February with new blogs!

Stay tuned!

Look at me!!

I want to take this time to toot my own horn! Seems that so far I am sticking to my New Year's Resolution so far!!

I have done 4 blog posts so far this year! It's beginning to be a bit of a habit.

I will even count this post as number 5!!!

Yay!
